Group Lauds Aregbesola Over Peace In Osun

ImageA socio-political group, Isokan Socio-cultural Group, has lauded the governor of the State of Osun, Ogbeni Rauf Aregbesola, for allowing peace to reign in the state.

The chairman of the group, Evangelist David Osevwe, stated this last Wednesday on the occasion to mark this year’s Democracy Day celebration, held at Heritage Hotel, Osogbo.

Osevwe, in his speech, stated that many people thought that Governor Aregbesola would be in the pursuit of his enemies, when he reclaimed his stolen mandate. Instead, he allowed peace to reign and leave his political enemies for God and the people to judge.

He added that the opposition party in the state now has no more lies to tell the people, saying that it is now clear to the people of the state that the seven and a half years of Oyinlola’s rule brought absolutely nothing to the state, in terms of both social and economic development.

According to Osevwe, it is only in an atmosphere of peace that meaningful development can take place, saying that was the reason Mr Governor has been able to achieve what he achieved so far.
